In 1978, granddaughter Roswitha Gastberger Jun. took over the hotel and photography business at the age of just 24 and converted it into a bed and breakfast hotel.
Later, daughter Franziska Gastberger took over the Hotel Seevilla at the tender age of 26 in 2014 - after successfully completing her tourism management studies and home stops such as Vienna, as well as stays abroad in Great Britain, Switzerland and Southeast Asia.
Just 2 years after the takeover, she decided to integrate the then leased restaurant Josephs, with the new old house name "Ledererhaus", into the hotel business for the first time.
The first major renovation under Franziska Gastberger was successfully completed in 2018 - in collaboration with the architects from Kirchmayr and the Oberreiter joinery. The main focus was on investing in the quality of the hotel and the restaurant kitchen and restaurant area were enlarged and redesigned, the terrace, reception with lobby and a covered lounge area were redesigned and a year-round heated infinity pool was built.
Under the motto "cozy, dignified, enjoyable - simply fine", some rooms have also been redesigned.
In 2023 - 5 years after the first major renovation, a complete makeover phase followed from October to June 2024, during which the top two floors were demolished and rebuilt in timber construction. In the process, 5 existing rooms were given a complete facelift and 5 new suites were created, some with large terraces with privacy & their own saunas. In addition, a rooftop fitness and yoga room with panoramic terrace and a massage room with lake view were added on the top floor and the wellness area was also given a facelift.
Creative culinary delights can be enjoyed on the lakeside terrace, which is now covered all year round, while the glistening rays of sunshine are reflected in the glass of wine. The year-round heated pool allows you to relax in the water from fall, through winter to spring, even when the Wolfgangsee has slightly cooler temperatures.
